Ellevest is investing built by women, for women
Many women don't get a crash course on how to invest towards a better future, and they have a uniquely different timeline to peak in their careers than men do. They are more risk averse and many start too late because they have no idea what to do.
We built a product with a foundation rooted in education and goals-based investing, so women feel empowered to reach financial freedom. As the Director of Product design, I both executed and mentored a team of designers and UX writers in the creation of the end to end product experience.
From the moment a woman signs up, she sets targets and goals for what she wants to achieve. She can start banking with a debit card to earn rewards, or investing to reach goals over time. She always has a personalized view to understand if she is on the right track. She can explore a learning hub with content and tools, as well as buy sessions with a money or career coach.
We successfully closed our Series B during the height of the pandemic for $50 million. The company has since propelled itself to hold under $2B in assets under management. It was such a rewarding experience working with this team, a group of women in leadership working to help other women.
